Two canine buddies hang out together as they await adoption from an animal rescue center on the outskirts of the city of Yogyakarta on the island of Java. Many dogs do not have any easy time of it in Indonesia, where most people do not consider them desirable as pets and they are often sold to be eaten. However, that does not mean canines are completely without friends willing to rescue them and welcome them into their homes.
