The rarely seen Puncak Hills rise to the south of Jakarta in early March of 2019, a reminder of long bygone days before they became almost permanently shrouded by thick air pollution. A thin smog hangs low around the highrise buildings of Indonesia's capital, but it will soon grow and once again choke the city.
