Laws have recently been passed against allowing domestic farm animals to wander freely throughout towns and cities, but they have done little to stem the popular ancient practice. Chickens bred for both cooking and fighting are in some areas like residential streets and this overgrown cemetery more numerous than housecats -- which, in Indonesia, seem to number in the hundreds for every square kilometer.
