One of Prambanan's numerous bas relief carvings, which literally cover the temples, depicts a group of women engaged in some kind of domestic activity, or maybe just relaxing together on a hot Java night. The carvings on the 9th Century Hindu shrines show a variety of figures, both human and otherwise.
