The flower after which West Jakarta's Cambodia Street is named (it is called kamboja in Indonesian, frangipani in English, yasmin in Persian, champa in Hindi and plumeria in Latin) was once sold by locals who cultivated them in their gardens. The plant still grows in the area, mostly in residential courtyards behind tall walls.
