Farm fresh

Jim Purdy sells the produce of his farm from the back of a van in a parking lot in downtown Happy Valley-Goose Bay, Labrador, in the autumn of 2012. Farmers who regularly set up weekend stalls rarely have to wait long for customers to buy their vegetables since most of the agricultural produce offered in stores is expensive and far from fresh, having been trucked for hundreds, if not thousands, of kilometers.
